Kuhl´s Blaupunktrochen lässt sich anhand seines rhombusförmigen Körpers identifizieren. Wegen dem Muster um seine Augen wird er auch zu der "Gruppe Maskenrochen" gezählt .
Er frisst am liebsten Garnelen die er zuerst fach in den Sand drückt um sie an der Flucht zu hindern.
Due to its pattern around the eyes, the bluespotted stingray is a member of the group of mask rays. It can be distinguished from similar species by its diamond-shaped body. When hungry, it attacks shrimp in the sand by pinning them down before ingesting them.
